Danube Bend by coach - 1 day trip
Leaving Budapest at 9.30 a.m. for the lovely little Baroque town of Szentendre. Here we will have a guided tour of the famous
Kovacs Margit Ceramic Museum. After a little free time for shopping on the pedestrian high street we depart for Visegrad.
Visegrad houses the former royal residence with a panoramic view, from the castle, of the Danube Bend - it is a truly
memorable experience. We have a three-course lunch with drinks before we drive on to Esztergom.
There we again have a guided tour of Hungary's biggest Basilica and its treasury. Before we depart back to Budapest we will have
some time for shopping. Estimated time of arrival in Budapest 5.30 p.m.
The price includes: hired coach and driver and tour guide for the whole day with all road tolls, parking fees and ferry fees for
the coach as well as the passengers. Also admission fees to the museums which we visit and the complete lunch, taxes and VAT.

Lake Balaton - 1 day trip - both North and South of the lake.
Leaving Budapest at 9.30 a.m. then travel on the motorway until we reach Siofok, the capital of the South side, where we will enjoy
a guided tour of the town. Then we drive to Szantod where we take a ferry across the lake - a 15 minute journey - to the beautiful
Tihany Peninsula. A guided tour of Tihany and the Tihany Abbey will give us an insight into the peninsula's history as well as the
story of the Abbey built in the 11th century. From the top of the hill there is a breathtaking view of Lake Balaton and its
surroundings. After Tihany we will continue our way to Balatonfured which was the favourite place for aristocrats in the 19th
century. It has a very pretty waterside promenade and one of the most beautiful harbours of the lake.
In Balatonfured we are going to have a three-course lunch with wine and mineral water in a traditional Hungarian restaurant.
After lunch we have a guided tour of the town and then return to Budapest to arrive about 5.30 p.m.

Puszta - 8 to 9 hour programme
Departing from your hotel to Lajosmizse, Kerekegyhaza.
Upon arrival horsemen will be welcoming us and serving freshly baked scones with palinka - the Hungarian fruit spirit drink.
Then a horse show will start with traditional horsemen performing on horses. After the display there will lunch accompanied by
traditional gypsy music before we go off on a horse and carriage ride.

Sightseeing in Budapest
Picking up from your hotel, we will visit the Castle District, Fisherman's Bastion, the Citadella on the Gellert Hill, Heroes' Square,
the House of Parliament, Margaret Island, Danube Bridges, the Opera House and St Stephen's Basilica. Returning to your hotel.
9-hour programme price £15 per person if a group of 25 people are travelling.
4-hour programme price £10 per person if a group of 25 people are travelling.
 
Budapest by night
After a traditional Hungarian dinner with wine, live gypsy music and folklore programme, an hour cruising on the River Danube.
Transfer from your hotel to the river cruiser and back to the hotel afterwards.
